It’s quite simple: it’s about preparing ourselves, by directing our desires and our fears, to respond to the Lord’s Love by saying to him with all our freedom: “Lord, here I am, send your Holy Spirit, I come to do your will.”
One can be a baptized and confirmed Christian, but not live by the Holy Spirit. It’s like having access to highly sophisticated software, and only using the basic function automatically, without bothering to discover the full potential of the system.
So in this seminar, we propose to prepare ourselves to open wide the door of our hearts and our lives to the Spirit of the Lord, to live fully from these gifts: joy, peace, love, the gift of ourselves; to become what we must be, each in our own unique way, for the world and for the Church.
We may still have, and still do have fears of God, of what he will ask of me… fears of my inability to love… doubts about whether God’s gift can transform me too… All of this is in no way an obstacle to taking this path.
The only question is:
Do you want to take that small step, in confidence, to open the door a little more to the Holy Spirit, to the Lord who knows you perfectly and who wants to walk with you, so that your life becomes a gift for all those he puts in your path ?
It is a seminar to be undertaken with others, in the parish, in a group. In 7 sessions, we will prepare ourselves to experience an approach that Pope Francis, following his predecessors, invites us to share widely: prayer to ask for the outpouring of the Holy Spirit. That is to say, to ask to be filled with the Spirit of Jesus, to learn to live under his guidance.
